To select a diverse and motivated group of candidates, the selection procedure is intense and sometimes demanding. Competition can be quite fierce: normally circa 300 people apply for the 30-35 AMID positions. The selection procedure is done by a selection committee.
Round 1: From all the applicants, the 120 best candidates are selected to continue in the selection procedure. Applicants are assessed on their own merits as well as in comparance to each other and on on their suitablilty for the available positions. If you are not selected for the first round you will be informed before Thursday October 3, 2019.
Round 2: The 120 selected candidates are invited to upload a video pitch. Instructions on how to do this, will be send ultimately to the selected candidates. Based on this pitch, 75 candidates will be selected for the next steps in the procedure. Candidates will be notified on October 18.
Information meeting: For the 75 selected candidates, an information meeting will be organised at the Radboud University in Nijmegen on Tuesday October 22, 2019, 14.00 to 16.00 hrs. This information meeting will provide more information on the interviews, available positions and matching procedure. Attendance is strongly advised to be adequately prepared for the third round.
Round 3: All 75 candidates will be invited for a face-to-face interview between Thursday October 24 and Tuesday November 5.
Round 4: In the first and second week of November, the selected candidates that passed round 3 will be matched with the available trainee positions. Canidates will be informed if, and to which organisation we will forward your CV. The candidates are invited to write a motivation letter to the organisation to highlight your interest in the offered position.
Round 5: Organisations select proposed candidates for an interview and schedule interviews between November 12 and December 11. Please note, being proposed to an organisation does not give candidates any guarantee to be invited for an interview by the respective organisations. The organisations, not the selection committee, decide whom they select from all proposed candidates.
AMID does not refund travel expenses made during the selection process or information day.
