Saskia Schepers about the course Omgaan met talent

'Talented people are of great value within organisations'
Saskia Schepers - People Development Consultant bij ABN AMRO
"With years of experience in the HR department, it fascinates me to discover what makes us, as human beings, flourish or not. This is always due to the right context. With my current focus on neurodiversity and on harnessing every talent in all shapes and sizes, I come across many talented people who struggle with their work environment because it is not adapted to them. And yet these people, with their creativity, autonomous thinking and ability to deal with great complexity, are of great value within organisations. Especially in an environment where innovation is needed", tels Saskia Schepers, People Development Consultant at ABN AMRO.
"However, standard ways of working, and how we look at talent management and leadership do not suit everyone. It also took me years to find or create an environment for myself where I could fully develop my creativity, this at the expense of my energy and that is a shame!"

Cultivating talent

"In what environment do these talented minds thrive and what does this require from leaders? Exploring this topic in the Omgaan met talent course and using my own case histories, not only gave me more context, but it also gave me practical conversation tips. The STAP budget made this all possible, which is amazing. Because of STAP I gained more insight in this socially relevant topic. I am convinced that organisations that develop this awareness on cultivating talent will benefit, especially in a rigid labour market. And it also makes yourself revaluate what works for you. Win-win!" #WeAreRadboud.
